Requirements

  • Design Expertise: Expert-level knowledge and proficiency in the specific design discipline, with a deep understanding of design principles, best practices, and industry standards.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and manage a team of designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support. Proven ability to inspire and motivate team members to deliver high-quality design work.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing design projects, including planning, resource allocation, timeline management, and deliverable quality control. Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and ensure their successful completion.
  • Creative Direction: Ability to provide clear creative direction to designers, aligning design work with project objectives, brand guidelines, and client expectations. Experience in guiding the creative process from concept development to final execution.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Excellent collaboration and communication skills to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams, clients, stakeholders, and external vendors. Ability to translate complex design concepts into understandable terms for non-design stakeholders.
  • Design Strategy: Proficiency in developing and implementing design strategies that align with business goals and user needs. Ability to analyze market trends, user research, and design metrics to inform design decisions and drive innovation.
  • Design Software: Expert-level proficiency in industry-standard design software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.), Sketch, Figma, or other relevant design applications.
  • Design Thinking: Strong understanding and application of design thinking methodologies and user-centered design principles to solve complex design problems and create exceptional user experiences.
  • User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Design: Familiarity with UX/UI design principles, processes, and tools. Ability to guide and mentor designers in creating intuitive and user-friendly digital interfaces.
  • Branding and Visual Identity: Experience in developing and maintaining brand identities, including logo design, brand guidelines, and brand consistency across various design touchpoints.
  • Design Critique and Feedback: Ability to provide constructive feedback and critique on design work to improve overall design quality and team performance. Skilled in facilitating design reviews and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and executive management. Ability to effectively present design concepts, gain buy-in, and address concerns or feedback.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking skills to anticipate design trends, identify opportunities, and develop long-term design visions aligned with business objectives.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing project requirements, emerging design technologies, and evolving industry trends. Ability to guide the team through ambiguity and navigate design challenges effectively.
